The Artist
Anniversary Series |
|
Ephraim Faience Pottery is pleased to
present the Artist Anniversary Series,
a new occasional series celebrating the unique vision and talents of
EFP’s artists as they reach their milestone anniversaries. Our artists
will create pieces for this series on their 5th, 10th, 15th, etc.
anniversaries with EFP. |
|
Pieces in this series will bear a special
mark identifying them as part of the Artist Anniversary Series. The
mark for the fifth anniversary is a five-petalled lotus flower with a
stylized “5” on the lily pad. |

In recognition and celebration of Ken
Nekola’s fifth anniversary as a potter at EFP, we are pleased to introduce
the High Bush Cranberry Pitcher. This piece grew out of a
collaborative project. Each potter was given a similar form that they
were asked to decorate however they chose. Ken was inspired by the high
bush cranberries growing in his yard and in the park next to his house
where he walks. He created a stylized design using the berries and
leaves of the high bush cranberry. The glazers took it from there, and
this beautiful pitcher is the result. |
