In
the February 2007 issue of our newsletter, we introduced the theme of our
annual photo contest:
The Four Seasons.
The goal for the contest entrants was to highlight how Ephraim pottery
reflects and complements the changing seasons. Photos could be taken
either indoors or outdoors, with the top 12 photos to be featured in a
special Ephraim Faience Pottery Collector’s Calendar for 2008.
The
entries for this year’s contest can be summed up in one word:
WOW!
The creativity and beauty of the entries we received was outstanding. Our
pottery was photographed in beautiful locations from coast to coast. With
each entry we received, we never knew where in the world our pots would be
next!
Due to the high
quality and creativity of the entries, this was by far the most difficult
contest to judge. We hope you’ll agree that each of the photos chosen are
real winners!
Due
to the great success of this year’s contest, we are going to repeat
The Four Seasons
theme for next year’s contest, which will officially be announced in the
February 2008 issue of the newsletter. This will enable all of you
photographer/collectors to capture our pottery in each of the four seasons
as the year progresses. So don’t put that camera away yet! Start thinking
about those summer photos now.
A big “thank you” to
everyone who entered this year’s contest. Your photos were
truly delightful! |
