As the collectors’ market for our work
continues to grow, we want to explain to our customers our studio’s position
on sales of our work on eBay®.
We are encouraged by the vibrancy of
the sales of our pottery on eBay® and by the enthusiasm with which our
collectors seek out our work. We feel that in most cases, sales of our work
between collectors on eBay® is positive for sellers, buyers, and collectors
of our work in general.
It is important for collectors to know
that Ephraim Faience Pottery does not sell its own work on eBay®. Likewise,
our authorized retailers do not sell EFP’s work on eBay® (with the exception
of charity auctions). EFP is not affiliated with any sellers on eBay®. Any
listings of our work are posted by individual eBay® sellers over whose
actions EFP has no influence or control. We encourage bidders to take
advantage of the information and suggestions for safe trading that eBay®
makes available to all its members, and to use common sense when deciding
whether or not to engage in a transaction.
Please be aware that EFP will not
police eBay® for incorrect or misleading information in listings. We
encourage both bidders and sellers to make use of our web site to obtain
factual information about our work. Bidders should contact sellers directly
with any questions about their listings. We do not respond to questions
about individual sellers and buyers. We do welcome specific questions
regarding factual information about our pottery that cannot be found on our
web site. Likewise, we also welcome suggestions for information that could
be added to our web site that may make it more useful to collectors.
If you have any questions about this
statement, please direct them to
Kristin
Zanetti. Thank you.

Addition posted 12/08/05: All of
the content posted on this web site, INCLUDING PHOTOS, is copyrighted by
Ephraim Faience Pottery Inc. and may not be used without the expressed
written permission of EFP. We do not grant permission to any eBay® seller to
use our photos or information for their listings. Our authorized retailers
have our permission to use our photos, but they do not have our permission
to sell on eBay®. If you are an eBay® seller, PLEASE do not take photos or
content from our web site for your listings. We really don't want to have to
file formal complaints with eBay®, but we will do so if sellers do not
comply with our requests to remove our copyrighted materials from their
listings. If you are an eBay® buyer, please be aware of what our photos look
like - high quality images with a neutral gray background - and consider
that the piece pictured may not be the actual piece that the seller is
offering. If you have any questions about the piece being offered for sale,
please contact the seller directly. |
