We
are pleased to present the seventh piece in our
Winter Holiday Series.
The
Juniper Vase
continues our annual tradition of introducing a special numbered piece at
our Holiday Pottery Fest. This design will be a numbered
edition of 50 pieces and will bear our special “Winter Holiday” mark on
the foot in addition to our regular marks.
As is
true with all of our pieces, the
Juniper Vase
is
the result of a collaborative effort of several of our artists.
Laura
Klein designed the vase, with its three juniper boughs that grace the rim.
The round form of the vessel itself echoes the shape of the lovely blue
berries. The glaze design for this piece was challenging. While the entire
glazing department was involved in its development, Becky Hansen’s glaze
design was ultimately chosen for the final piece.

The
glaze on the Juniper Vase is an intriguing multi-layered combination of
blues, yellows and greens. While it is impossible to capture the true
beauty of this piece in a photograph, we invite you to view larger, more

As in
previous years, the first 25 pieces in the series will be available at the
Holiday Pottery Fest. The remaining 25 pieces will be sold
through a mail-in postcard lottery system. To enter the lottery to win a
chance to purchase the
Juniper Vase,
mail a standard-sized postcard with your name, address, daytime and
evening telephone numbers with area code and email address to

53531.
Only postcards mailed to Ephraim Pottery and postmarked by
December 3rd, 2007 will be accepted. One entry per couple living in the
same household. Duplicate entries will be discarded. The drawing will be
held on December 10th, 2007. |
