Kristin
Cramer Zanetti started
as EFP's first full-time employee in October 1998. Her
interest in art and great organizational skills were just two of the
valuable assets she brought to the company.
After
graduating from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a B.A. in
Italian and French, Kristin went to work for a small non-profit company
that assisted immigrants and foreign students in furthering their
careers and education in the United States. She specialized in Italian
education, researching and writing The Educational System of Italy,
which was published by her employer. She continued to develop her
interest and skills in art by taking night classes and writing poetry. After 10 years
of working in international education, she fulfilled her long-time desire
for an art-related career by becoming EFP's first office/marketing/sales
manager.
Kristin was immediately drawn to the work of EFP
and recognized its potential. As she organized EFP and helped its
work to become nationally recognized, Kristin has been involved in
virtually every aspect of the business, from designing pottery to
developing the newsletter, catalog, and web site.
Kristin is a
passionate advocate for the welfare of companion animals and volunteers for
Angel's Wish, a local animal
welfare, education and adoption organization. Much of her free time
revolves around the animal members of her family. She also enjoys
writing, cooking, reading, and dabbling in various artistic media
including photography, painting, and drawing.
